INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUMMER BLANKETS
You will need 1 ¼ yards each of Flannel Fabric and Cotton Fabric of your choice. If for instance you chose Cabbagepatch Kids as your cotton, you could use the same pattern for the Flannel Fabric, or you could use a solid color for the backing. It works with either a Printed Flannel Fabric or a Solid Flannel Fabric.
1. Place the fabrics together with the right side facing each other.
2. Sew along edges leaving a small space to turn the fabrics inside-out.
3. Pin along edges and sew either straight or if you have a nice pattern on your sewing machine it makes it look cute.If you have an embroidery machine it is even better as you have so many edging patterns to choose from.
Remember you could use more fabric for a larger blanket. I normally use 1 1/4 yards (45") as most fabrics are more or less that widt h & it gives you a square blanket for Babies & Toddlers.
